0 One of my top favorite MASCARAs …..
I get a lot of questions on “What is my favorite mascara” and it is super hard to answer that! I have a lot of favorites – but I’ll show you one which I absolutely LOVE !
This amazing mascara is from ILLAMASQUA- A BRAND I CHERISH AND LOVE AND WOULD DIE FOR!
The mascara is called ” MASQUARA ” in color “RAVEN”
What makes this mascara amazing is that it has all the qualities you want in other mascaras- all bottled in one. It gives you length, seperation, curls, thickens and gives it super volume! Besides- it is SUPER BLACK- jet black! The name RAVEN really suits it- it is as black as a raven!
I had it for a while and forgot about it- but then decided to try it and I was shocked- it really exceeded my expectations!
This one has really impressed me- it really makes my lashes look different than any other I have tried. What I also liked about it, it doesn’t make my lashes stick think and pointy- which many others do!
It didn’t clump with me- but i don’t consider it waterproof.
Love the packaging too- just sleek black- clean & classy.
The brush is large but not thick/fat- but it really works wonders on volumizing the lashes.
If you want dramatic eyelashes- then this one is a fantastic option.

2 MY REVIEW: “SMOKED” Palette by Urban Decay
I have receieved a surprise birthday gift in the mail today…. from a very special friend who lives so far away from me
Such a beautiful gift… so I decided to review it!
To be honest… when you see pics of the smoked palette online – you don’t really get attracted to it! That is what happened to me… I didn’t like it very much cuz I didn’t feel that the colors were vibrant… But when you actually have it in your hands.. TRUST me… you will change your mind!!!
That is what happened to me- when i saw it & tested the colors- I fell in love … and to tell you the truth- the colors are amazing!
Forget about MAC eyeshadows ( which I believe have a high pigmentation).. but if you are looking for eyeshadows that are super rich & vibrant and are somewhat metallic/reflective- then URBAN DECAY eyeshadows are the answer!
The SMOKED Palette
Comes in a zippy case.. includes 10 eyeshadows… 1 24/7 eyepencil.. and a mini original eye primer tube
I’m very glad that this palette did NOT have a brush- as I really dislike their brushes- find them very stiff- very synthetic and unworkable!
The Black “Preversion” 24/7 glide on eye pencil is SUPER SUPER SUPER BLACK… & trust me when I tell you it is UNSMUDGABLE! I tested it on my hand and had a really hard time removing it! This means if you have watery eyes then this will really stay!
The palette also has a small book- a how to book- to show you how to apply up to 12 eye looks! I find this very helpful- it will even tell you eye areas- like where is your crease & waterline etc… it is very detailed … reminds me of toofaced how to kits!
THE COLORS
Oh.. so beautiful… I’m not just saying this cuz it is a blog … but Im truly IMPRESSED… if you love silver (all shade ranges) or gold or copper etc – this is amazing!! IF YOU LOVE SHIMMER… then this is the palette to get! You can use those colors on their own- or use them on the centre of ur lid and surround with matte colors (my choice)… or you can work with more than one color and pull on the outer > corners!
WARNING: Those colors are HIGHLY PIGMENTED- meaning color excess will fall of on your eye/under eye area so BE VERY CAREFULL and tap your brush before application
BELOW are my hand swatches
PREVERSION PENCIL: super dark black- KINKY: neutral beige (matte) – FREESTYLE: brownish peach(matte) – MUSHROOM: gray brown taupe – BACKDOOR: charcoal brown with a hint of grey (matte) – BLACKOUT – black (matte)
I would use kinky for a highlight (brow bone) and freestyle to blend above the crease.
BARLUST: reddish brown with a hint of gold (shimmery) – ROCKSTAR: dark smoky purple (shimmery) – EVIDENCE: navy blue (metallic/shimmery) – LOADED: green/teal with black undertones – ASPHALT: dark grey with silver micro shimmer.
My Opinion
My fav 2 colors where MUSHROOM & BARLUST… They are amazing…I don’t really understand why it is called SMOKED … I think it should be called metallic or frost hahahaha
SMOKED is more about Matte colors- and this has the majority of NON MATTE colors! You have to be great with blending in order to make those colors look smoked- that is why Matte colors work well to smoke up!
URBAN DECAY IS AVAILABLE ONLINE ( I always get it from amazon or lookfantastic.com) or travel and buy it from all over the world!
5 My Review: the “Beauty Balm” by Too Faced
Not all brands have beauty balms… and the disadvantage in many brands is the limited shades….
First…. what is a beauty balm?
Basically, it’s a type of foundation that aims to cover blemishes, offer good coverage, and blend properly onto the skin with a satiny finish. It is also known to improve the skin & treat it. Started off in the Asian (Korean) markets and now they are sold worldwide! They do contain SPF and they are the replacement for tinted moisturizers or even foundations!
Well, I’m here to review this special beauty balm from TooFaced!
I purchased it a month ago and I have been using it since… I’m loving it!!
Lemme explain more about it..
This beauty balm is available in 4 shades:
Vanilla Glow (light skin tone), Cream Glow (light to medium), Nude Glow (medium), and Beach Glow (deep skin tone)
I have 2 shades- the Nude Glow & Beach Glow. For when I’m tanned I used Beach glow & for the rest of the year I’ll use the Nude Glow!
About Too Faced BB Cream
The Too Faced Beauty Balm (BB cream) does give u not only beauty benefits but skincare benefits. The balm has a multi-mineral complex that gives u a healthy glow and will improve the skin’s appearance over time.
This special balm consists of light diffusing pigments which instantly hides wrinkles/fine lines. It is also anti-aging so it will prevent damage. It moisturizes & is oil free… Great for all skin types and most importantly SPF 20 (which is great- considered high). It contains Vitamins A &E + Chamomile which nourishes your skin.
What you might not know about it- It is a MULTI USE… Meaning that you can use it as a primer to prep your skin before foundation or use it on its own.
MY REVIEW
I’m currently using this bb cream daily – morning or night & i’m surprised by how Im addicted to it! This stuff is pretty good! I have sort of ditched tinted moisturizers & always use this!
What’s awesome about it is the glow it gives (not shiny or oily) but simply a radiance.
I do use it like a tinted moisturizer- with my hands- rub on all my face and make sure no excess lines but just patting with my fingers and slightly smudging. Then I would def apply some concealer on top and powder all over. Sometimes when i want an even more natural finish- I would use the balm on it’s own with no powder on top.
This bb cream is medium-full coverage! But you don’t actually feel it heavy or anything- it’s like it is barely there! Those tiny blemishes and acne scars. If the bb cream does not fully cover your blemishes then I suggest adding setting powder on top.
Beautiful coverage & smooth skin & non greasy!… And the greatest part of all – it is super quick! For mornings or a night out – it is a quick fix! The product is easily bendable like a cream- but make sure to clean your hands after or you’ll make everything you touch beige.
Once it is blended- it automatically gives off a glow/radiance
The tube itself looks small but it will stay a while! As I said I have been using this product daily for a month and it is still halfway full !
I hear this product is amazing for older women- as it really treats their skin & hides those fine lines etc.
This product is available in SEPHORA worldwide…. and YES- IT IS AVAILABLE IN BAHRAIN SEPHORA

0 Rouge Coco Shine- “Empreinte” from SUMMERTIME DE CHANEL collection – My Review
This beautiful collection from Chanel “Summertime De Chanel” screams summer. It includes a mixture of sophisticated nude & coral lips, a mix of muted browns and a focus on glowing bronzed skin!
Chanel- always keeping it classy- opt for pretty simple and subtle shades instead of extra bright hues for the summer.
As Chanel describes it, “Sun-kissed cheeks, magnetic eyes, and radiant beauty”.
This beautiful lipstick “Rouge Coco Shine #437 Empreinte” is a soft beige.

COLOR

The lipstick is more of a sheer formula with a wash of color. The color can be described as a sheer nude. It might seem slightly pinkish but it is more nude. I believe it will not really show on your lips if you have fair skin- but if you have olive skin or you are tanned- it will really pop! The formula does have tiny bits of sparkling shimmers (micro shimmers) – which don’t show as much when worn on lips- only in sun.

TEXTURE
You might think that this super shiny lipstick is sticky- but not at all! It is super moisturizing. Oh … and it smells nice. The shine tends to make your lips fuller. I absolutely love how this lipstick doesn’t have a MATTE color to it. That is what makes it so summery! Light and moisturizing. Most of the nudes being sold in the market are matte and dry- but this nude moist shade will become everyone’s favorite.

MOISTURE
This lipstick is unbelievably MOIST! It’s like a lipbalm with a hint of color. I tried it and I feel that my lips are fully soothed and moisturized. You don’t actually feel that you are wearing lipstick because of how moisturized your lips feel.
So if you are someone who loves light lipsticks or more of a lipbalm person- then this is definetly the way to go- as you will love the texture and sheer natural color.
See my swatch below

The lipstick’s retail price is 17 BD
Summertime De Chanel Full collection is available in Bahrain.

0 ‘Rich Core’ – A beautiful shade of rich purple -MY REVIEW
So I recently purchased some products from the MAC “In extra Dimension” collection! Don’t worry I will review them all soon- hopefully!
I got this one product which I absolutely fell in love with… Other than their amazing highlighters.
I’m not a fan of colored eyeshadows- meaning I’m more of a neutral shades person- I love the browns and sandy shades the most.
BUT THIS PURPLE SHADE TOOK MY BREATH AWAY!!

The eyeshadow is called “RICH CORE“… the color lives up to its name.. VERY RICH INDEED! Keep in mind that it is LIMITED EDITION!
THE PACKAGING
It is double the size of normal MAC eyeshadows. And the 3D texture is what grabs the attention! I love the presentation of this collection’s eyeshadows….

THE FORMULA
A special formula- liquid power … with the 3D prismatic effect it will instantly sculpt what ever you want. The formula consists of some shimmer. It is cool, creamy and silky and I believe it will create a beautiful defined finish. Yes.. they blend easily!

THE COLOR
I describe this color as a rich yet dirty eggplant color. A plum like/purplish color! The color gives of a burgudy sheen too. So it has some brownish undertones that reflect within the purple. When you take a closer look, you will realize there are tiny shimmery particles which- don’t show as much unless you zoom in.

I wore this color the other day & I have recieved a lot of compliments! You just have to make sure you blend the edges… and build the clor of course. One coat is not enough.

When applied- it is like I have mixed two MAC eyeshadows together– Satin taupe + Sable… to get this result.
Below is another hand swatch where the rich color is shown clearly!

0 My Own Review: Bobbi Brown Tortoise Shell Collection- The Sand Eyeshadow Palette
I have wrote about this new collection a while ago, you can check it out HERE.
I just brought the sand eyeshadow palette- which was sold out when I was in Spain (once it was released) then out of stock back in Bahrain. I have been dying to get my hands on it for a while now!
So mission accomplished, I got it & I’m really really really impressed.
The Sand Eyeshadow Palette is based on neutral colors- the beige, the browns, the rose beiges, & the sand golds.
Those colors- I love!
So the palette comes in a brown turtle shell packaging- & the eyeshadows come in quads, 4 above and another 4 in the bottom (slider). I love how each 4 are organized together to match each other. So the upper 4 (you can do a look with using those 4) & the same with the other 4.
The photo below shows how the colors look like with DAYLIGHT
I would really really really recommend this product to a person who likes to do “the crease effect” & the outer “V”. If you have no clue about eyeshadows- or how to blend them or define them- this product is not for you!! Sorry! Those colors complement each other. One can be used for the lid, one can be used for the crease, another for the brow bone highlight etc. They come in handy, as they are all together instead of buying piece by piece eyeshadow!
Ok let’s review the colors.
The first 4 colors- upper deck: Ivory, Hot Stone, Taracotta, Desert Sand.
Desert sand is the metallic color here.
An easy look you can do here. Taracotta on full lid, hot stone to define the crease & “V”, ivory for the brow bone highlight, & desert sand on top of the ½ the start of the lid & to blend.
The swatch for the colors is below:
Just keep in mind “tarcotta” doesn’t show a lot since it’s 100% like skin color.
If you wanted to get some pieces from MAC, they have some similar ones- for example, IVORY=VANILLA(MAC), HOT STONE=MYSTERY(MAC), TARACOTTA=KID or TETE A TINT (MAC)
The 2nd set of 4 colors- lower deck: Antique Rose, Black Chocolate, Sandy Rose, Gold Bar.
Sandy rose is the metallic color here, and Gold Bar is a sparkly color.
You can do a really easy look here. You can use the lighter color like antique rose for the lid, black chocolate to define the eyes in the crease, Gold bar for the upper brow bone highlight & tearduct, and sandy rose on the beginning of the lid.
The swatch for the colors is below:
If you wanted to get some pieces from MAC, they have a similar one for Black Chocolate. BRUN (MAC) is 99% similar.
Remember, To perfect those looks using 4 colors, you must blend blend blend blend. MAC 217 brush is the tool you should never forget.
