1 ‘La Bohème’ – Make Up For Ever’s Spring 2012 Mini collection
Make Up For ever was inspired by florars, gypsies, embroidery & patchwork for this collection.
‘La Bohème’ reminds me of gypsies… It’s a chic collection… very Bohemian.
(Al though I believe the packagine of the palette you are about to see is more Bohemian than the colors)
According to Make Up For Ever “A collection inspired by nature, to let your beauty desires blossom and give new form to the Bohemian spirit.”
The Palette
The main focus of this collection is the 6 shade eye shadow palette. What is so special about this eye palette? The eyeshadows are baked & consist of minerals! They are such soft colors that create a beautiful romantic look.
They are Pearly & shimmery- but keep in mind the pigment is a bit sheer. They also can be applied wet or dry. MUFE intended to make the color – “looks like it has been washed” – so it might not appear as vibrant as you expect it to be.
Shades are : Lagoon Green, Vegetal Green, Beige, Parma Purple, Brown, Coral
The Packaging
It’s all about the packaging in this collection- The eyepecil is covered with floral design & so is the lipsticks. With regards to the palette- it’s made out of recycled cardboard. It incorporates floral patchwors with some arabesque details.
The case opens up with a silky ribbon and a beautiful flower collection stands out.
Eye Pencil
Also included in the new collection is a limited edition Aqua Eyes eyeliner. It’s a matte dark brownish/black shade
Lipsticks
La Bohème includes 2 sheer lipsticks- “Red coral” & “Peach Beige”. They are also limited edition.
