0 MY REVIEW: MAC MINERALIZE RICH LIPSTICKS
Happy to see MAC extend their permanent line of lipsticks!
Now, the new Mineralize Rich Lipsticks (19 new shades) will be available at all times!
The lipsticks are indeed very very very creamy and full of moisture- so your lips will be hydrated at all times! I always love MAC’s colors but many of them are matte and tend to dry my lips- but these ones are different!
I have 3 shades- and I have been testing it for a few days before writing about them to see their staying power and hydration!
The lipsticks just glide easily onto the lips! That’s what I love most about it. It is super rich in moisture that your lips feel very comfortable. And Also another great thing about it (IT IS NON STICKY)!
What I didn’t like was the similar shades in the collection… The pinks where very similar to each other and the dark reds too- felt like it was very repeated in the same collection!

What you will also realize- These lipsticks have a different plastic packaging! Don’t look like the original MAC lipsticks- and also- they have magnetic caps! I kinda like the magnetic caps because it ensures that your lipstick is closed. Sometimes the original mac lipstick doesn’t close well or the cover breaks so at least the magnet ensures closure.
So these are the shades I took (elegant accent , lush life, glamour era) – a pink, a dark red and a beige
Elegant accent is a medium warm rosy color
Lush Life is a deep cool plum. I love how it is a bit translucent- lets your lip shine through. This color changes under different lighting
Glamour Era is more like a caramel beige
0 My Review: The Lipgloss- By DOLCE & GABBANA
Head over heels for this gloss!
By the Dolce&Gabbana makeup line- this lipgloss in shade “Raspberry” is gorgeous!
I got it from the Bouquet makeup collection spring 2012. The closest D&G store u can get is from UAE.
Dolce & Gabbana Lip Glosses are very moisturizing- it stays on for approx 4-5 hrs.. It smells sooooo god!! Like candy/sweet rosy perfume!
It is super glossy- like all the other shades in the D&G line! It is also has high pigmentation!
The color is pink ofcorse- rosy pink- not so light & not so dark… the color is just perfect! Since it is not a very pale color & not so dark it will match a lot of skin tones. The color is so floral and calls for spring- although it’s autumn now where you would expect crimsons and all those darker shades- I still love to wear pinkish hues – matches any season you’re in!
I swear the color is just perfect!
I love to use this lipgloss on it’s own- has a great color- but it’s your choice if you want to add a lipstick underneath!

The only disadvantage is the price tag- quite pricey!
0 The Perfect Red Lip Shades for VALENTINE’S DAY !
Valentine’s day is coming up!

For Valentine ’s Day, you can stick to reds or pink as a lip shade- depends on what you like more. Keep your look flirty and sultry- and most importantly- SIMPLE.
VALENTINE LIPS can be RED or PINK…
A beautiful eye look to go with either RED shades or PINK shades is : sweeping a soft brown/dark beige eyeshadow (I love wedge from MAC) and add a thin to thick black gel liner (love bobbi brown’s)- apply mascara… but then add some false lashes to make the eyes dramatic.
WHY RED LIPS?
Girls wear red lips because red is a festive color- yet it’s sexy & attracts attention. By wearing red lips, you are making a statement & drawing attention to the most important feature on VALENTINES = UR LIPS!
In this post- I will focus on my favorite RED lipstick shades to wear on V-DAY!
MY FAV RED SHADES FOR V-DAY
Some reds might have a hint of maroon to them… they are amazing though
RUBY WOO- MAC
A beautiful Matte red shade- very long wearing. Slightly lighter shade than MAC’s ‘Russian Red’. Your lips will look like rose petals- so velvety. This is the True matte shade. Has blue undertones- will make your teeth appear whiter. Wear it with “cherry” lip pencil from MAC.
DARE YOU – MAC
It’s a Cremesheen lipstick (Creamy formula-very light & slick- deliver full color coverage- gives lips a shine!)
This color is a deep brown red- hint of maroon. What I love about it is that it is dark, but NOT too dark. I love how this color can also look like burgundy too! This will moisturize your lips because of its cremesheen formula.
LA FASCINANTE #38- ROUGE ALLURE VELVET- CHANEL
First of all, this is from the Rouge Allure Velvet Line, meaning that the texture it will deliver is a rich matte color. This differs than other MATTES as it moisturizes your lips. This shade is a beautiful classic red. This color screams “take me out for Valentine’s day”….The undertones of this lipstick are also blue. On darker skin tones- this shade will look like red mixed with dark pink.
DRAGON ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE #75 – CHANEL
This color has been famous for years! It is a stunning shade- so vibrant- so smooth-and leaves a stain behind (which makes it long lasting). Sad news is that I am hearing the product is discontinued or on the verge of being discontinued L but I had to share it anyways.
This is not a lipstick- but it comes in a lipgloss form but with a full intense color. The result is very glossy what what’s amazing is the rich vibrant color. It delivers a beautiful true red- more of a ‘blood red’ shade.
BOX- ILLAMASQUA
I recently got this lipstick- from illamasqua. It’s a deep scarlet red matte lipstick. It’s quite similar to MAC’s Ruby Woo, but slightly darker & not as dry as Ruby Woo. It is a bright red shade that is highly pigmented- with hint of blue undertones. Keep in mind that this lipstick does NOT have long staying power. However, it delivers a beautiful 1920’s Retro Glamour.
KRYOLAN LIP WHEEL – LIP ROUGE #14
I love this color wheel filled with 5 different shades of red + 1 lipgloss in the center. The formulas of those shades are creamy & have silicone- to give a lustrous effect + add some vitamins to your lips. There are dark and light shades so it makes life easier when you want to choose! Instead of buying one lipstick- you get 5!!
2 Soft . Sweet . Smooth -Bubble gum lips
Finally ! I GOT THIS LIPSCRUB THAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!
I didn’t want to get it online – as I wanted to test it in-store before purchasing!
This lip scrub from LUSH is not new to the market, but I believe it is a must have for those with extra dry chapped rough lips. Even with a lipbalm applied underneath lipstick- chapped lips can be shown- & here is the solution (other than brown sugar scrub). I swear this removes all dead skin!
LUSH lip scrub will scrub any rough skin & will keep your lips super smooth & soft. Just scrub your lips before you apply your makeup.
What makes this scrub extra special is that it has an amazing flavor – BUBBLEGUM !! You scrub your lips then lick your scrub… it’s edible & it tastes AMAZING. You can always rinse it with water.
The scrub is made of castor sugar& jojoba oil for extra nourishment.
Other flavors are available – Mint Julips (mint flavor) & Sweet lips (chocolate flavor)
It is an affordable lip scrub & has a good shelf life (nearly a year)- just keep in mind it’s very basic & slightly dry so you can moist your lips before then add the scrub!

Another amazing find from KRYOLAN (GERMAN COSMETICS BRAND)!!
i know how much lipsticks cost in other brands- lets say approx minimum 8 BD (per lipstick) and we tend to buy the different shades of red, different shades of orange, beige, pink ETC.
Well, that really costs $$$$$$!!!
That’s why i’m in love with KRYOLAN’s amazing lip wheels

0 The ‘CHUBBY’ stick: The one thing you MUST buy from Clinique
If they told you to buy one thing and only one thing from Clinique, make sure the “CHUBBY STICK” is the answer.
It’s not a concealer/foundation stick. It’s a chubby lip pencil/crayon.
This is a new product that has been launched.
It’s basically a moisturizing Lip Balm- with a color- but in a stick (instead of a tub)!
You can easily scribble this crayon on your lips- & what makes it special (it won’t chap your lips or dry up-since it’s a balm).
It is glossy- so it will look like an extra natural shade of a lipstick. It’s great for an everyday makeup routine- for the office etc. Wear it for a natural look- & get your lips nourished + hydrated at the same time.
There are 8 different shades. Each shade is named with reference to a fruit- Tempting! I absolutely love “Woppin’ Watermelon”!!
It’s an amazing pinkish color- very natural & similar to what Kim Kardashian applied in her wedding.

0 Stain your lips with Sephora’s Creamy lip stain
It’s a high coverage lip color which comes in a tube, looks like a gloss, however it’s not glossy.
Once it’s applied, within less than a second, the creamy texture will turn into a silky STAIN. What’s great about it is that it’s enhanced with avocado oil (won’t dry your lips up).
My two favorite colors from 8 shades is #2-Classic Beige (matte beige with deep brown) & #5 –Infinite Rose (satin golden peach). Classic Beige works beautifully with olive skin. It’s reflects hint of browns & pinkish pigments. It complements any natural eye makeup, & what I love about it even more, is that it becomes a MATTE chocolate brown…
The stain lasts for.. umm.. seriously… the NEXT DAY. I applied it yesterday at 9 pm.. and I forgot to remove it. Today morning, it was still there!
0 Chanel’s DRAGON RED- Rouge allure
It is no lipstick. It is the perfect Holy Grail of all redish/maroonish GLOSSES. This gloss, “Rouge Allure Laque- in Dragon 75” delivers a stunning & vibrant dark red. It provides full coverage like a lipstick, but comes in a fluid like form –gloss. I can describe the color a “dark berry red” or blood red.
Beautiful creamy texture. Applying it requires precise application, but the color will last for over 6 hours. This color is just one of a kind, as it stands out among other famous ‘red’ lipsticks.
The other colors are beautiful, but this red just grabs the attention when compared with the rest. It will be an amazing lip color to use for this coming fall/winter.
