I’m not the type of person who wears “pink” cheeks… but sometimes adding a hint on top of my usual blusher makes it look really pretty- especially if your lipstick shade is pink!
Pink swoon- from MAC is the way to go. It’s a lighter shade than “Fleur power” from MAC, and the lighter the better.
It’s a beautiful subtle pink shade that will look natural for everyday. It’s a matte powdery blush that needs to be put on very lightly to not over-do. With it not having shimmer makes it more natural looking. It’s the perfect pink, not baby pink or fuchsia, just pink. This blush is not highly pigmented, which means it’s quite sheer=NO CLOWN EFFECT.
If you have a fair skin tone, pink swoon will look amazing when added to the apple of your cheeks- giving you that fresh look! It won’t work properly on darker skin. Kim Kardashian posted once about how much she loves this blush & how she keeps it in her purse at all times. She calls it “the perfect pink”!
WE all love Kim’s nudish pinky glossy lips. I have read about it & I was able to achieve it.
The lipstick (I’m sure you’ll find), but the gloss (not available in Bahrain) so I’ll jot down some alternatives.
I don’t suggest lining your lip. Let’s keep it natural, although Kim lines it with “stripdown”-MAC. It’s up to you.
Get a lipstick from MAC called “Angel” or your other alternative is “Hue”. I personally love Hue more, but it’s your choice. Hue is a soft pale nude pink shade with a glaze.
Angel is a pale rosy pink but not “milky” & not to very pale. It is what Kim uses.
Apply the lipstick, and then apply gloss. Kim uses the NARS lip-gloss “Turkish Delight”, which provides serious shine in a MILKY baby pink shade. I don’t recommend applying it on it’s own, I prefer it applied with a pinkish lipstick. If you have dark skin, I don’t recommend using those shades (angel + Turkish delight)- since they are too light! Turkish Delight is the perfect nude pink.
You can buy this gloss online, or purchase it from Sephora Dubai or anywhere else, since they don’t sell it anymore in Bahrain.
Lip-gloss Alternatives to Turkish Delight:
- Oyster Girl Lipglass (MAC)
- C-Thru Lipglass (MAC)
- Underage Lipglass (MAC)
- Florabundance Lipglass (MAC)
- Angel Cream (MAC)
- “Her Glossiness”- Benefit
Overall, Underage Lipglass (MAC) is the closest to Turkish delight.
After this, you should get the result of a perfect nude pink lips- perfect with a smoky eye!
What we have all been waiting for.. Pretty Kimmi walking down the aisle.. What she’ll wear, how will she look like? Dressed in an ivory Vera Wang & beautified by her makeup artist/friend Mario Dedivanovic, Kim looked stunning. Complimented with a diamond headpiece over her hair, she became a princess.
However, I expected her to be slightly heavier on the makeup. She looked extra, extra, extra natural with very light colors, and barely showing lipstick. Yet, she pulled it off making her a beautiful bride!
Kimmi kept it simple: with soft smoky eyes, full brows (slightly arched this time), pink blush and glossy pink lips. And of course, the false lashes!
According to Mario, “I plan for her makeup to be clean, radiant, feminine, modern, and classic.”
A palette of warm brown and pink was used to contour her face. Shades of chestnut brown were used to smoke out the eye. And her cheeks looked radiant, to go with her glossy lips.
