2 The Ben Nye Banana Powder: Why the chaos?
What is the BEN NYE BANANA POWDER?
Ben Nye brand describes it as : ” Formerly known as Visage Poudre Luxury Powders, these ultra-neutral powders provide superior matte and subtle finishing. Often compared to French powders with silky-fine textures. The Ben Nye Bella line of powders are translucent with just a hint of color.”
The powder has a non sparkly/shimmery finish. It is completely matte. It’s called banana powder- but NO- it doesn’t smell like bananas!
Why is it yellow?
All translucent powders are white in color- but this translucent powder is yellow because it helps preventing your skin from looking ashy. If you have a medium color skin tone or olive or darker it would suite you best. What you will love about this is that when you get photographed wearing it- you won’t see any white blotches like other translucent powders.
I believe if you have more yellow undertones than pink- it will work better on you. I wouldn’t use this on very fair skin.
This translucent powder blends flawlessly. Also, anything that is translucent will work well on oily skin as it doesn’t change in color (darken) with the oil secretion from your t-zone.
USES
You can use it as a powder on top of liquid foundation to help it set. It will control the shine, doesn’t really change your foundation color much ( it does tend to make fairer skin to look weird & yellow), has no perfume in it.
But I believe the main use – which a lot of makeup artists use it for is- Highlighting as in part of contouring! I always use it for that- after a lot of practice- I have mastered it and It is very natural!
I’m sure you have seen Kim Kardashian’s contouring pictures- her makeup artists use this a lot on her! It helps in setting the concealer and brightening it up naturally.
It is the perfect powder to highlight and bring out those areas out in the face. When contouring, I believe you need to highlight in order to contrast between the light and dark areas. See below to know where to highlight (white areas). I recommend keeping the yellow powder on your face for a few minutes before you blend it off with a brush.
The thing I hated about this powder is the packaging/ container. Instead of dipping your brush you have to use it like a baby/talc powder.
So you would have to use it on a plate or something then take it from there. When I contour- I use it with these triangular sponges.
The banana powder is affordable- you can order it from many websites online.
1 My review: BODY SHOP ALL-IN-ONE BB CREAM
Tested out body shop’s all-in-one bb cream ( not the COOL VITAMIN E) one, so don’t confused. I must say- i’m really impressed with this tiny tube!
This bb cream comes in 3 different shades, and as you can see, I got the light (#1)- although it says light for lighter skin tones- i’m olive skin and i believe it matched mine! This beautiful bb cream gives you super intense hydration! So if you have super dry skin this will work great for you. It gives you a beautiful healthy glow (but doesn’t look too oily like other bb creams).
It is light to medium coverage, so It does cover up tiny blemishes but if you have a lot of imperfections- go with a foundation for fuller coverage. It is not as thick as Asian bb creams or some other bb’s in the market. It is similar to a tinted moisturizer, but I love who it makes the skin look very healthy! What’s good about this cream is that it has ANTI-AGEING ingredients- which many other bb creams lack!
What you will be surprised with this bb cream is that when you first apply it- it will look white… and you’ll say OH NO ITS TOO LIGHT WHY??

This special formula is transformable- it changes from a white creamy color to suit your skin tone.
When the cream is applied to the skin and is massaged into the skin it releases pigments with bursts of color. It adapts to your skin tone and it really amazed me to how it detects your skin color- my hand is slightly darker than my face- so when I applied it on my face- it suited it, and then on my darker hand it adapted to it and suited it too! Wow!

And it is completely blended- looks fresher! It even hid some open pores/hair follicles
What I love about it is that it is makeup and skincare mixed together- it really hydrates the skin! It also focuses on your dull area and brightens it and freshens it too- Worked on me 100%
Just to show you that there is color to it-
Keep in mind that this product does NOT contain any sun protection- so I suggest applying a moisturizer with SPF underneath. It does have a very light fragrance, so if you have sensitive skin just check it first (test patch) before buying.
I just think that the packaging is quite small- I wish it was slightly bigger.
1 How to hide REDNESS … flawlessly!
Many of us girls have redness on our faces…
Some people have it in form of scars. Some have it as an allergy/infection. Others have it from acne… and some just have redness for no reason!
I know it is really annoying to cover up redness- but there is a way!
DO NOT JUST TOP UP OBVIOUS REDNESS WITH YOUR FOUNDATION- IT WILL SHOW!
Here is my way- step to step with pictures!
So I have gotten a red patch on my skin due to an allergic reaction to medication- well I decided that it is a chance to show you girls how to hide it!
First of all.. Here are the stuff you will need
A green corrector (makeup forever or Kryolan), a beige corrector ( bobbi brown/makeupforever/kryolan), your desired foundation (liquid) and powder.
The reason on why I’m using a green corrector is because green cancels out the red in the skin 
With the brushes, you will need: a flat foundation brush, 2 concealer brushes, one powder brush/duo fibre brush
STEP 1
APPLY GREEN CORRECTOR WITH CONCEALER BRUSH
STEP 2
APPLY IT ON RED AREA BY PATTING AND NOT SMUDGING
STEP 3
APPLY A BEIGE CORRECTOR (MINE IS BOBBI BROWN) ON TOP OF GREEN
WITH A CONCEALER BRUSH

WITH A FOUNDATION BRUSH COVER THIS AREA AND APPLY YOUR FOUNDATION ALL OVER

1 MY REVIEW: Chanel Poudre Signee de Chanel Illuminating Powder
Everyone’s talking about the new highlighter from the Chanel Spring 2013 ” Printemps Precieux de Chanel ” Collection. The collection holds this beautiful illuminating powder/highlighter which is of corse limited edition. It is a sheer powder which reflects light delicately.
The packaging comes in a velvet pouch and a little spongy applicator (which I’m not going to use).
Once opened, the product is beyond gorgeous. The powder is embossed with CHANEL emblems, big and small. Also, you will see other symbols like Coco Chanel’s camellia blossom, lipsticks, lipgloss, and fragrance bottles. Very creative & super detailed.
The color looks like a combination of colors. It seems golden. It seems pinkish. It seems silver. It seems pale beige. It seems beigey peach. It is a combination of all these colors. Others have reviewed it to have an oyster color. The texture is actually very smooth. I swatches and tested to compare it with other highlighters from MAC and I will tell you this- CHANEL’s texture is super smooth when I tested it using my fingers.
The powder results in a soft yet warm glow that is not very shimmery or frosty. like many other highlighters. I love how it is not very shimmery- it’s subtle yet it shows a beautiful luminescent glow. The pigmentation is very high ( i didn’t expect it to pick up that much) but it is highly buildable! By patting it with a brush onto the skin it will build up more and more.
When you apply it you will not see it much unless light is reflected on – you will then see it- pretty much like all other highlighters. It lasts for around 4-5 hours unless you sprayed a fixante on top to not make it move.
I personally don’t recommend this highlighting powder for darker skin tones as it might turn ashy.
See my comparisons below with MAC’s highlighters (which are more toward’s golden) but I had to show it compared to soft & gentle (the famous highlighter) so you can see the difference. The MAC ones are frosty in terms of texture!
The picture below shows how the product looks on your hand in comparison to the MAC products- You can see how it doesn’t look too gold!
Why would girls spend 32 BD on this powder? Well, I personally liked it because it wasn’t chalky or too powdery and it blends well with the skin/foundation. It is not very obvious like others. I also love how it is a mix of silver and gold- not just gold! The hint of silver in it makes it stand out. It glows beautifully and I can’t be any happier!
0 MY REVIEW: Giorgio Armani ‘s Lasting Silk UV Foundation
I am actually in love with this foundation! I’ve had it for a while now- just had to make sure I love it so I can actually review it!
The Giorgio Armani “Lasting Silk UV foundation” looks very similar to the Designer lift and luminous silk foundation from Armani in terms of packaging- however- it works very differently!
Just in case you are wondering, it is available in Sax Fifth Avenue (Bahrain). This foundation is available in 8 shades.
According to Armani, the Lasting Silk UV foundation is made for extreme backstage conditions – staying up to 14 hours. It also contains SPF 20
After testing the product I realized that this foundation is very light weight in terms of formula- ( the majority of Armani’s foundations are light weight)-and what I loved about it – it felt like second skin.. Very natural and flawless. It gives off such a beautiful and healthy glow! If you are tired of matte foundations- then try this for a change- for a beautiful satin finish! The coverage I would say it is light to medium… so if you have major imperfections this won’t really cover (you would need to correct/conceal).
If you look closely at the bottle you will see fine shimmers.. This will give your skin a luminescent glow!
It is an award winner too: Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner, Allure “Best Medium Coverage Foundation” 2010 Award Winner and CEW Beauty Awards 2010 Finalist, “Best Face Product Prestige”
This foundation however is water based… meaning that it will work great for oily skin and normal skin. If you have dry skin or dry patches- this product will not work well with it. For dry skin I do recommend the Luminous silk foundation. But anyways it is very moisturizing and you barely feel like you have anything on your face.
I love using it with a Sigma Beauty “flat kabuki” F80 brush or a Real Technique’s “buffing brush”. I just love working it into my skin with a buffer since it’s very lightweight.
I’m slightly disappointed- as Armani claims it will stay up to 14 hours- this doesn’t. I would give it maximum 6hours.. and that is with a proper base & a fixant.
What I also love doing is NOT applying any powder on top! It’s your choice to (if you want it to set), but I don’t want to remove that dewy glowy look- so I just leave it as it is and use cream/liquid blush and highlighters to give a healthier look than a mattified one.

It’s a pricey product though- compared to other foundations in the market such as MAC etc.
3 My review: Pre-launch NEW MAKEUPFOREVER PRO-FINISH POWDER FOUNDATION
I’m thrilled to have the all new Make Up For Ever’s Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation in my hands! This product is not yet sold in Bahrain ( as of today JAN 13,2013)- I have the product pre it’s launch here and I’m glad to review it for you girls- so that you will know what to expect from it and what to know before buying it!
It is one of those powders that I’m sure girls will love- especially those girls who love compact foundations and love to use them in the morning! You will be able to transform this foundation to a different texture for a completely different look.
When will it launch?
The pro-finish will launch soon in Bahrain- Mid to end of MARCH 2013. It will be sold for BD 18 – and it will come in 24 shades
What is it?
A multiuse powder foundation with a patent-pending formula that can be applied wet or dry for buildable coverage and a customized finish.
It has a special formula (with ‘vegetal coated bio-mimetic pigments’ which lets you basically customize the result and texture of your foundation.
You have the choice to apply it dry for a matte finish full coverage result, or wet to get a satin finish sheer coverage.
Why is it special?
This product- believe it or not- took Dany Sanz (Creator & Artistic Director) more than six years to make. She has tested more than 70 different formulations and finally settled with this one. She wanted a multi-use formula with different finishes and different coverage levels.
This compact foundation is very different than the previous ones in their permanent products- as it allows you to customize it to how you want to use it.
My verdict
I’m very impressed- honestly- I’m not a fan of compact powdered foundations- and you do realize that I barely blog about them. But this one- swept me off my feet!!
I have been waiting to get my hands on this powder for a while and I’m lucky I did- I had a 6th sense that it will be good to me.
The texture was very lightweight- it blends beautifully into your skin- If it was matte (dry) it will look like skin or shall I say “second skin”. It looks absolutely natural. If u want more coverage it is easily buildable. What I also liked about it is that when you hear the word “matte” or “dry”- then you will think that the foundation will dry up your face and might look cakey. However, with this product it really hydrates my skin and I didn’t feel that it dried up my face at all ( I have combination skin)- It might depend from skintone to another.
How to pick your shade?
The shades are slightly similar to the Makeupforever HD foundation (liquid)- not 100% exact- but close to them. I’m a mix of 2 colors in the HD (128 and 155)… but since with powders u can’t mix, you will realize that one might suit you better than the other. With this pro-finish powder- the 155 is closer to my skin tone than the 128.
My experiment (dry for matte finish)
I really suggest NOT using the sponge that comes in the tub- instead use a powder brush/ buffer brush/kabuki- suits best and applies the color much better than a sponge. The brush blends it beautifully.
I loved how this powder looks very natural and perfectly suits my skin. It doesn’t look cakey and doesn’t feel dry. If you have an oil problem then this will help in mattifying the oils off your face.
My experiment (wet for satin finish)
Wet a sponge (not the one in the tub) or your brush gently, then remove the excess water and take some powder using the wet applicator.
When wet, the color appears to be more vibrant and I feel that there is more coverage when it is applied wet. If you still want more coverage after this, you can apply powder (dry) on top.
Just keep in mind **** When applied wet- it goes darker (so be careful). You can take a shade lighter if you want to just apply it wet as it might go darker.
To actually see how the product looks like on skin (WET VS. DRY) – see the picture below:
You shouldn’t worry about the powder when it is wet that it won’t go back to powder- the powder will look wet even when it is dry but just dust it off and it will look good as new.
2 My review: shu uemura ‘s ultime8 sublime beauty cleansing oil skin purifier
I really hate that annoying feeling when you remove your makeup and you still feel that u have dirt on your skin!! I have got this shu uemura’s skin purifying cleansing oil recently from London and absolutely loved the results!
The product’s full name is “ultime8 sublime beauty cleansing oil skin purifier” and it comes in a brown bottle- 2 diff sizes- 150 ml and 450 ml
This special cleansing oil is super effective as it removes impurities and dirt and gives you the most amazing super smooth skin!!! I have tried and tested it and I guarantee you that it will make your skin very smooth!
It is mainly used to remove any dirt or makeup- will instantly hydrate and nourish your skin. It is a fantastic product to add to your skincare routine. This product by far is one of the best cleansing oils- it even beats MAC cleanse off oil- as i feel it is more healthier for my skin.
It is an oily/watery product and must be used with water in order to work!
These are the directions for using it!
Just remember, apply some in your hand then onto your face (which is filled with makeup) and apply some water then work it into your skin- you will then realize how super soft your skin is!

This cleansing oil literally removes every trace of makeup! So if you don’t feel like removing it with facial wipes etc- just wash ur face with it! I even love how it removes the waterproof mascara so easy! This product differs from Shu Uemura’s other cleansing oils as it is more moisturizing on your skin. You will feel instantly after washing your face how soft and smooth and supple it is!
The only disadvantage to this is how pricey it is- and it is not available in Bahrain- but hopefully when you travel you can get it!
0 My Review: Dior SkinFlash Radiance Booster Pen
Most people would consider this a concealer- but to me- I consider it as a brightener/highlighter/concealer than just a concealer.
I really love this product- the DIOR SKINFLASH RADIANCE BOOSTER PEN! I would say it is a great quick fix to brighten you under eye area… If your on the go & in NO mood to use a brush etc.
This light booster pen will smooth away imperfections .. it can work greatly underneath foundation of over foundation- or even if you want- WITHOUT ANY FOUNDATION..
It is very very very lightweight…. what it does is removes fine lines and gives back radiance to the skin…
It is sold in5 shades, but most of the time you will only see 3 shades being sold
The Shade I use is 003 (sun beam) … darkest shade – but it is suitable for olive skin since it is a hint lighter to brighten up.
I love how super creamy it is and very blend-able. However- if u have dark circles under your eye- then u will definitely need a corrector underneath as the DIOR pen won’t cover much of discoloration.
The skinflash is more of a “brightener” .. most of these pen like concealers are brighteners than proper concealers. This is amazing to use on the bridge of your nose too- upper cheek bones.. and even brow bone.. gives instant glow with NO shimmer…
To use the pen- you would need to rotate it clockwise from the bottom so the liquid/cream comes out through the brush. After applying with the brush on desired areas- blend with your finger by patting/dabbing or with a beauty blender.
It doesn’t have that “CAKEY” effect than many concealers show… as it is very light in form of texture. I also love how this pen is very moisturizing… like a cool lotion. Also- it stays for half a day- I would say 8-10 hours…
As you can see from the above pic – once you apply the pen & blend it – PIC 2 shows u how it brightens it up instantly!

I Had this product for a while now- but I just realized that I should definitely write my review about it!

This serum is made from rice bran, which gives you a radiance. It also consists of fatty acids, antioxidants and Vitamin E. What this face oil does is plumps, hydrates and nourishes your skin (deeply) while smoothing fine lines.
It is perfect for both genders and all skin types.
What i love about it?
The smell…. the beautiful calming smell of lavender weakens my knees!!
The smell is super calming – so u can apply it day or night- and will help u sleep peacefully at night.
Although it’s an oil- it is not actually oily/greasy…. Once you apply it on your skin- it will sink into your face tissue and work its way in.
I also hear that lavender oil is great for burns- so it may be helpful too!
You will love how smooth and supple your skin feels after applying it!
This special facial oil can be a replacement for night creams or day cream (if you’re staying at home & you don’t need SPF).. Oils penetrate the skin much better than creams & hydrate it faster.
I don’t suggest using this before makeup though….

How to Apply?
Make sure your face is clean- then apply a few drops onto your hands and massage all over your face! I also use it on my lips and under eye area Don’t forget- Massage it into your skin to make it work… don’t just pat it!

I got the kit once it launched but never got the time to review it — so here we are!

Aqua Eye Liner
A liquid liner which I use nearly everyday! Super Black- very pigmented- sharp precise point to make a winged flick… And Yup .. it is waterproof ! So you can use it for the beach as well!

Aqua Cream #13 Beige
Highly pigmented long lasting waterproof cream… with pearly pigmentation… I have used this product before & it doesn’t crease or smudge ( i suggest using a primer underneath anyways)! It is even hard to wipe off! I do suggest blending it superfast before it dries up! Your finger would do or any synthetic brush.
The shade is a golden beigy shade with a hint of metallic…you can use this for your eyes and lips! It instantly brightens up your eye since it is a light based color.
Aqua Lip 2c
Lip liner which is also waterproof- very water resistant & easy to glide on lips
The color is “rosewood” – super soft so make sure you sharpen it.
Aqua Rouge 2
This is the only product in the kit which is NEW-from the new AQUA ROUGE line- amazing two sided lip rouges with a color on one side and a gloss on the other!
This will be a permanent.
The color is rosewood. The aqua rouge provides intense and long-lasting color .. similar to sephora’s lip stain.. It will stay there fore hours and hours…
If you want it matte – don’t add gloss.. if you want it shiny then use the gloss.
Notice how it becomes matte a few seconds later…
And if you want it glossed up….
The aqua rouge is hard to remove (hence- long lasting) – tried it with a wipe and no use…
The sens eyes (below) removed every trace of it!

Sens’ Eyes
Famous makeup remover – which basically removes the anything stubborn. Anything waterproof or that doesn’t get removed by wipes- the sens eyes bottle is the solution! IT REMOVES EVERYTHING MAGICALLY!
Verdict
Great buy- nice clutch … and fantastic products! Great small miniatures to be placed in bags or clutches.. and fantastic sizes especially for traveling!
To be honest- it is actually a fair price- you get a mascara, lip liner, liquid eyeliner, rouge+gloss, creamy eyeshadow and a makeup remover .. and a clutch all for 39 BD!
5 My Review: the “Beauty Balm” by Too Faced
Not all brands have beauty balms… and the disadvantage in many brands is the limited shades….
First…. what is a beauty balm?
Basically, it’s a type of foundation that aims to cover blemishes, offer good coverage, and blend properly onto the skin with a satiny finish. It is also known to improve the skin & treat it. Started off in the Asian (Korean) markets and now they are sold worldwide! They do contain SPF and they are the replacement for tinted moisturizers or even foundations!
Well, I’m here to review this special beauty balm from TooFaced!
I purchased it a month ago and I have been using it since… I’m loving it!!
Lemme explain more about it..
This beauty balm is available in 4 shades:
Vanilla Glow (light skin tone), Cream Glow (light to medium), Nude Glow (medium), and Beach Glow (deep skin tone)
I have 2 shades- the Nude Glow & Beach Glow. For when I’m tanned I used Beach glow & for the rest of the year I’ll use the Nude Glow!
About Too Faced BB Cream
The Too Faced Beauty Balm (BB cream) does give u not only beauty benefits but skincare benefits. The balm has a multi-mineral complex that gives u a healthy glow and will improve the skin’s appearance over time.
This special balm consists of light diffusing pigments which instantly hides wrinkles/fine lines. It is also anti-aging so it will prevent damage. It moisturizes & is oil free… Great for all skin types and most importantly SPF 20 (which is great- considered high). It contains Vitamins A &E + Chamomile which nourishes your skin.
What you might not know about it- It is a MULTI USE… Meaning that you can use it as a primer to prep your skin before foundation or use it on its own.
MY REVIEW
I’m currently using this bb cream daily – morning or night & i’m surprised by how Im addicted to it! This stuff is pretty good! I have sort of ditched tinted moisturizers & always use this!
What’s awesome about it is the glow it gives (not shiny or oily) but simply a radiance.
I do use it like a tinted moisturizer- with my hands- rub on all my face and make sure no excess lines but just patting with my fingers and slightly smudging. Then I would def apply some concealer on top and powder all over. Sometimes when i want an even more natural finish- I would use the balm on it’s own with no powder on top.
This bb cream is medium-full coverage! But you don’t actually feel it heavy or anything- it’s like it is barely there! Those tiny blemishes and acne scars. If the bb cream does not fully cover your blemishes then I suggest adding setting powder on top.
Beautiful coverage & smooth skin & non greasy!… And the greatest part of all – it is super quick! For mornings or a night out – it is a quick fix! The product is easily bendable like a cream- but make sure to clean your hands after or you’ll make everything you touch beige.
Once it is blended- it automatically gives off a glow/radiance
The tube itself looks small but it will stay a while! As I said I have been using this product daily for a month and it is still halfway full !
I hear this product is amazing for older women- as it really treats their skin & hides those fine lines etc.

0 MAC Heavenly Creature – My review on “Light Year” Mineralize Skinfinish
So the heavenly creature collection by MAC has launched everywhere in the world- except here- well… I have got my share from MAC in Spain !
This collection will launch in Bahrain AUG 14 (most probably)- so I hope this will help in knowing what to buy!

There has been major chaos in the beauty industry that this is the WOW collection from MAC… but to be honest… When I saw it- I didn’t go crazy! I just got 2 products – it wasn’t that attractive to me! (PERSONAL OPINION)..
BUT IF YOU DESPERATELY NEED HIGHLIGHTERS… THEN THIS IS THE COLLECTION U SHOULD FOCUS ON!!
Well, I wanted to review something I liked from the collection- the “LIGHT YEAR” Mineralize Skinfinish!
Light Year is a skinfinish with a peachy pink and gold shimmer. It has a swirl of peachy coral pink with a bigger swirl of gold.
You can use this skinfinish as a blush or highlighter!
It has very high pigmentation – and the color is gorgeous. Rose goldish shade…. that is not tooo glittery/shimmery. That is what i liked about it- when the gold is blended with the pink it gives off a beautiful color! Surprisingly it is very similar to “REDHEAD” skinfinish from the MAC Naturally collection- if you missed the review read about it here !!

MY VERDICT: If you really need a highlighter- this will be a fabulous one! But i don’t suggest using it if you are very pale!
2 The Volcanic Ash Exfoliator Scrub – My Review
So I recently got this new exfoliator scrub from MAC !
I decided to try it out during my holiday here in Spain….
MAC Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator
FYI – this product was sold a few years ago… and it got discontinued! They have recently launched it now in the MAC heavenly creatures collection (in Europe & USA) ….. and I believe it won’t stay for that long! So grab it before it’s finished!!!
This exfoliating scrub is not only for exfoliation purposes- but also cleansing. The ingredients that make up this scrub: Actual volcanic ash mixed with some fine sugar crystals. It also has silica.
This scrub will basically refine your skin and unclog any pores making your skin feel extra soft, smooth and clean. The product is filled with MINERALS… so you can use it also on your full body!
Well as you can see, the scrub is BLACK! Probably from the “ash” ! But I am loving this product!! I have tested it for a few days now and it is really a fantastic scrub to have on your bathroom shelf. It deeply exfoliates … feels like I have something that Spa’s who give high end facials would use. Smells ashy too… but you will really feel that it is working deep into your skin.
Keep in mind- Silica will actually scratch you so be very careful.
As adviced on the tube, use no more than 3 times per week. Apply on your clean face and rub, then rinse off.
My advice: apply moisturizer afterwards as your skin will be hungry to absorb moisture.
Below is a a quick guide on how to use it… I scrub my face but I am showing you an example on my hand.
Just remember to work it into your skin, so keep rubbing in circular motions!
After this, rinse off with water and you will feel how smooth your skin is! Don’t forget to moisturize!!
I really loved this scrub … unbelievably amazing and does the job without stressing the skin or making it red or anything like that.
0 The Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer – My Review
I’m in love with this moisturizer! It is one of those products that I have bought in a long time but have never used- up until 2 months ago where I started using it!
The Body Shop’s Vitamin C line is simply a must have! It really really really fixes your skin- and it comes with a cheap price tag!
The product I’m currently using is The Body Shop’s
VITAMIN C “DAILY MOISTURISER SPF 30″
And it smells like oranges!!
It is one of those moisturizers that will repair your skin- as it is focused on DULL skin! So if you ur skin has no radiance and looks tired and dull, this is a great moisturiser to use!
Why Vitamin C?
Vitamin C is known to encourage collagen production – meaning it impoves the elasticity of your skin and protects it from any damaging environmental variables.
I use it prior to my makeup- or even on its own (without makeup). It is lightweight, easily absorbed and non greasy!
It protects you from sunrays (SPF 30) and has rich ingredients such as vitamin c, amazonian camu camu (fruit which is considered a great antioxidant & has vitamin c) and seasame seed oil (softens + strengthens the skin’s defence system).

Well, this is not a new product – it’s just something that I love to use with my makeup!

EVIAN MINERAL WATER FACIAL SPRAY
It’s simply amazing- i love keeping it cool in the fridge & spray right before my makeup or after moisturizing my skin! The water adds extra moisture to your skin & adds glow when it’s all dried up!
Its ‘other uses include the beach (where i got my evian bottle-Oman Shangrila , the pool & excersize- all to keep you refreshed!
Well it really works well with makeup too!

I’m sure you have seen the green primer in lots of places… All bottled up & stacked on makeup counters… YET … You have NO idea why it is green or what to use it for!!

Make Up Forever HD Green Primer!
One of the best green primers available is Makeup4ever (MUFE) green primer. The consistency is smooth. Easy to blend & covers up well.
Ok.. now I’m going to explain the how and whys!
WHY IS IT GREEN? WHY DO I NEED TO USE GREEN PRIOR TO MY MAKEUP?
Not everyone will need to use this. Green primers/correctors are green for a reason. Green is know to be a color that neutralizes redness! That is ofcorse due to the color theory!
As you can see, Green is opposite to Red. This means that the green color will remove any sort of redness! And it will get neutralized/balanced out underneath the Beigi foundation.
Not everyone needs to use this. People with skin problems, allergies, redness, red birthmarks, reddish acne, sunburns & mosquito bites will need to use it if they wanted FLAWLESS makeup- this will perfect their base- as red tends to show underneath foundation if it has not been corrected.
Keep in mind- primers also absorb oils- so they will keep your face oil free!
HOW DO I USE IT?
Using it is super easy! After moisturizing your skin- squirt a small coin size amount into your hands and rub on REDDISH areas! Basically, apply it on wherever you fee that is a bit red!
Rub the area until the green primer is blended and can barely show.
After that, you can go ahead and apply liquid foundation!
You will notice that the green color dissapears underneath the beige colored foundation!
Ok – look at the pic below for an easier illustration!
1- my hand has been burnt by the sun during a recent vacation.. so as you can see it is reddish… So I applied a bit on my hand
2- rubbed & blended the primer onto my hands.
3- you will realize a few minutes after applying the primer that the redness automatically dissapears! So now I applied foundation.
4- blended the foundation! And Voila- no redness!!!!!!
IT’S MAGIC!!!! NO MORE REDNESS!

Summer has a lot to do with the product I’m about to tell you about.
Keep in mind, during summer- your face changes in color- that is if u do tan!
The problem is, many girls apply their usual foundation (which is lighter than what they are after tanning) – making them look greyish!!
Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret. When you are tanned- avoid heavy foundations & stick to tinted moisturizers!
TRUST ME ON THIS!
Tinted moisturizers will keep u moisturized all day + feel very light on your skin & they work greatly with a tan! When it’s summer, you don’t want to feel like having cakey skin or layers of makeup on top!
I found the perfect tinted moisturizer – with a shade great for those who have olive skin (like me) and go a bit darker.
You have got to try this product from CHANEL- “HYDRAMAX + ACTIVE TEINTE”
In english- it’s a hydrating lotion with a tint (some foundation with it) for additional color.
What is great about it- it is intensly hydrating and it gives u a beautiful natural healthy glow! The product consists of a Hydrabarrier System- which locks moisture in!
The shade suitable for tanned skin is “BRONZE 20″. This shade might not suit everyone- but if you are tanned.
There is 2 other shades (Sunlit & Sand) – lighter ones if you are lighter.
Apply this tinted lotion just like you apply normal cream- with your hands all over. Make sure it’s blended well! (WASH UR HANDS AFTER) If you like, you can even top it off with a hint of powder or translucent powder to remove any shine/oils.
KEEP IN MIND: this is not a tan enhancer. It will not change the color of ur tan permanantly. It’s just a lotion.
Just to show you, I have constructed a little experiment!
Below is a photo with 3 swabs of unblended liquids. Please note that my hand is slightly tanned- thanks to SHANGRI LA OMAN- well anyways, so my foundation has become way lighter than my hand.
The pic below shows you the 3 liquids- Blended- and how they look on tanned skin. Please note that the Chanel tinted moisturizer completely matched the tanned skintone- while the foundation made the area look greyish- simply cuz it is lighter than the skin!!
0 MAC – ‘In Extra Dimension’ Skinfinish – MORE THAN SUPERB!

Well, this collection didn’t arrive in Bahrain yet and it will arrive on doomsday I guess:P
The product I will review here is from a new collection in MAC- which already launched in the US and Europe for a while now.

This amazing collection features beautiful eyeshadows & skinfinishes…. all in 3D texture.
FYI: it’s called ‘extra dimensions’ for a reason- to highlight the dimensions of the face & bring out it’s unique features.
According to MAC- “Introducing a new liquid-powder formula with prismatic reflections that sculpts, highlights and models the face.”
Gorgeous shades- and I fell in love with a skinifinish which I had to get a hold of!
“Superb” – is one of 3 skinifinishes available. I fell in love with the color.
Superb is more of a nude peachy color with a hint of gold with it. More like rose gold
It does have shimmer- but I love how it is NOT too shimmery/glittery. It’s a subtle shimmer to give a beautiful glow.
Many girls will get confused, believing it is like other mineralize skinfinish products from MAC. Well, it is completely different- I think they should have named it something else. The texture and finish is totally different than the other skinfinishes.
FYI- this product is a highlighter. Meaning that you would use it to accentuate the features on your face. I love using it on my cheekbone & nose.
What I absolutely love about this specific shade, it goes perfectly with a tanned look! Many of the highlighters we find don’t contain a golden/nude sheen – more leaning towards silverish white colors. A sunkissed look goes perfectly with “superb” skinfinish.
Use it with a sigma brush F35 or MAC 188 to apply on specific areas. Don’t over apply – make it look natural.
It is easily blendable- highly pigmented- long staying power.

0 Sunny Pink- The Terracotta Blush from Guerlain
Summer is here! Well almost.. .. I’m already tanned and found the perfect blush which goes well with a tanned look!
I have tried CREAMY blushes (in pans) but they tend to be sticky and must be blended a lot in order to look natural.
Well, this blush- the one I’m about to show you now is in form of liquid & it is EASILY BLENDABLE… plus it goes BEAUTIFULLY with tanned skin!
This liquid Blush from GUERLAIN, is in the shade “sunny pink”!
This shade is a beautiful pinkish/orangy shade. I describe it as a goldenish rosey shade.
Keep in mind, that warm/sunny weather calls for easy creamy lotions to be applied & this is a simple solution!
What I love about it is that it is more than just a blush. It adds color, yet it highlights/adds shimmer! So it is a 2 in 1 product.
With this product, all you need to do is blend with your fingers the color onto your cheeks (rub it off gently so it will blend with your skin).
The pic (above) shows how the color looks on tanned skin & on fairer skin.
GUERLAIN also sells another shade- a coral shade- “Spicy Coral”.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade “RedHead” is what grabbed my attention from the MAC Naturally collection!
This product can be considered a blush and/or a highlighter! I use it as a highlighter
Redhead consists of gold to pink shades- And it is LIMITED EDITION! ( it is a repromote though keep in mind- has been introduced previously)
It carries strips of 4 gradual shades: champagnish beige, dark champagne beige, peachy champagney color & a bronzy shade with a hint of rose
The trick is mixing all these colors together and applying it on ur upper cheekbones (preferrably) to give u a beautiful sheen/glow! It will add some warmth but definetly some sheen/shimmer with a hint of color
It can also work perfectly with bronzed skin! You can also use it as a blush-I would say for those with fair skin
You can easily pull it off by complimenting it with a nude lip! Beautiful combo
It is such a pretty color with great pigmentation. So be careful not to apply TOO much of it! Make it look subtle by using a lighter hand. It does make a great highlighter!!! A subtle one that is not too SILVERISH!
The other skinfinish in this collection is “Blonde” which is more leaning towards a pinkish shade.
My verdict: it is a good buy! If you can’t find a highlighter in Bahrain- this can be a good one

I constantly talk about Kiehl’s products- I love them!!!! Especially the midnight recovery concentrate!
Well- I am in love with this moisturizer from Kiehls- I’m telling you- LIKE NO OTHER MOISTURIZER!
I love Estee Lauder’s Daywear moisturizer, but I also love Kiehl’s!
This moisturizer- called “ULTRA FACIAL MOISTURIZER”
It makes your skin unbelievably soft!!! It’s like BUTTER!! Makes it feel so sooo smooth- and really helps in setting your makeup for hours! It’s light and milky and most importantly- VERY HYDRATING!
The packaging- in a bottle- so easy to squeeze & convenient!
What this moisturizer does is it gets absorbed under your skin so that the surface remains extra soft. It will seep into your skin helping nurture what is underneath the surface- not just the upper skin!
Just use it after you have cleansed your face- right before the makeup! Also you can use it before bed!
The white bottle is for “ALL SKIN TYPES” … and there is a blue one too- which is for normal to oily skin types!
Believe me- your skin will LOVE the change

I luuuuvvvv this product from the bottom of my heart! Smashbox- by far- have the most amazing award winning primers!
It’s called “PHOTO FINISH LIGHT- FOUNDATION PRIMER”
It is the perfect primer to control oil (especially in T-ZONES) & create an extra smooth canvas – which preps your skin for the makeup! It is water based, extra lightweight primer great for all skin types! It’s “photofinish” – meaning it is made for photoshoot- reflects harsh lighting!
After your cream- apply this primer all over! I swear this will instantly fill in any fine lines & pores to give u and amazing airbrushed look! Always make sure you apply it to clean an moisturized skin.

So as you all know, my favorite loose powder is from Chanel- Poudre Universal Libre !
Chanel’s powder is simply amazing, yet sooooo Natural! I have been experimenting with a few loose powders- trying to find which one can be voted as 2nd best….
And I have found it!!

I haven’t heard raves about this product in the makeup industry- but wow I am impressed & I’m sooo glad I found it! Trust me it is SOOOO Good
It’s amazing how it’s sooo lightweight- so extra natural- does NOT add color to your face- it’s somewhat transparent yet with a hint of color. What I love about this is it does NOT change your foundation color- it helps set it with a transparent protective powder. NO CAKEY Effect!
It is basically an Allergy Tested, 100% Fragrance Free lightweight powder, which sets & perfects makeup. It also helps make pores disappear resulting in a flawless finish! What I also love about it is how it controls oil, gives you a natural perfected look and enriches your skin with minerals!
It’s amazing for those people with sensitive skin or even oily skin or combination or natural!! Clinique has the best products always for sensitive skin.
It is suitable for all skin types & the coverage is sheer.

0 Love at first sight: illamasqua’s new skin base foundation – REVIEW
So as u all know i was in Dubai a few days ago- just a quick getaway.. And also to re-stock on some of my makeup products!
I have been dying to try this foundation from this well known brand (in the west) “illamasqua”- British brand ofcorse ( I luv the Brits by the way)..
Famous makeup artists worldwide rave about this foundation constantly- among them are pixiwoo & hudabeauty !
So i went to Bloomingdales in dubai mall & got my illamasqua SKIN BASE FOUNDATION. It’s not as big as other liquid foundations- but the results were WORTH IT!
The shades come in a range of 18 shades. Picking out the correct shade is quite tricky i suggest u check the shades for yourself if u travel to the UK/states/Dubai since for example ( shade #10 is for a yellow undertone but #11 which is for a pinkish undertone but 12 is yellow/beigi. So it’s quite tricky.
I had to mix 2 shades to get my matching color i took shades “#10 & #12″ and mixed them!
The result:
I’m telling u girls- this foundation is a must have- you will luv it!! I promise u!
What i love about it is that it’s not heavy at all- it feels so light but the coverage is unbelievably good!! It covers everything but doesn’t feel like it’s there! I sweat it is super soft & is not yellow (unlike MAC foundations)!
It’s the perfect skin tone color! Ohhh soooo flawless.
I dab it with a beauty blender to even it all out after applying it with a brush.
Removes any dull complexion underneath & becomes even more amazing when finishing powder is applied on top. I use chanel’s universalle loose powder just to make it set.
In addition to makeup4ever HD & chanel’s foundations.. The illamasqua skin base foundation goes on top of the list.
It’s one of those foundations that stay long enough for a full day(if it had the perfect base of creams underneath)!

What I love about it is how it is a multi-use sponge- for different things.. because of its round shape- you can do a lot of things with it.

- Apply after foundation for evening out the color & missed patches

- Great to use under eye area (pointy tip)
My tip is to best use it when it’s DAMP… This means that wet it with some water then apply on whatever you want to help the product set. Another way is to spray the beauty blender with some MAC fix plus spray mist then use it.. This will help it set more! (once it’s wet, it will slightly expand in size)
It’s very easy to use it—basically just BOUNCE it (stippling) against your face. The pointed side will help you with hard to reach spots (nostrils, mouth, eyes, forehead sides). Use the round base for foundation /blush… and the large area for your forehead, cheeks & chin. It’s even perfect to cover blemishes with!! Oh and … it’s latex free!

1 A brightening face primer from Benefit!
I just brought this product- “THAT GAL” from Benefit ! Basically, it’s a brightening face primer- removes that dull complexion that some of us have.
I’m a huge fan of the Benefit packaging & Names! They are soo cool & grab my attention.
It’s a silky pink primer. The packaging looks like a glue stick.
You have to turn it to make the product seep from the top!
Apply all over your face & blend it in an upwards motion like a moisturizer for a brighter smoother skin. I usually apply it after moisturizing my face. Then I would apply makeup. You can also use it on it’s own!
What this formula contains is light reflecting pigments that will instantly brighten up the areas. It also contains raspberry + chamomile to soothe the skin.
Some people might not feel the effect- and I will be honest with you- the effect is a natural brightness- NOT INSTANT SUNNY BRIGHT.
I love the smell! I have always done my makeup without a brightening primer, but when I applied it today- I have received a few compliments on how different and fresh it looks! Even though it’s part of the hidden base, it still makes a difference under your foundation! A Beautiful radiance from within!
1 Estee Lauder’s “DayWear” moisturizer- BEST EVER!!
I have been using this face cream for a month now, and trust me girls, i think i have found “THE ONE” !!
This cream is to be used in the day, and it acts as a perfect makeup base!!
What makes me go crazy about it is the texture it leaves your face in! NON GREASY, and gives u a beautiful radiant glow!
This face cream in this cute green jar has SPF 15- and believe me it is more important than the makeup!
This moisturiser will defend your face against the appearance/signs of premature ageing, so it is good to use it when you are young!
It has a very effective ANTI-OXIDANT power– great for everyday, and the BEST PART ABOUT IT—– smells like cucumbers!!!!! ( which i absolutely LOVE)
I have realized that my skin became softer and instanly fresher after every application!! I LOVE IT!!
It is a great wat to protect + enhance your beauty!
0 The world’s No.1 loose powder- CHANEL’S POUDRE UNIVERSELLE LIBRE
I can’t explain how much I’m in love with loose powder! I’m not a fan of loose powder, but I’m in love with CHANEL’s!!!
I always hate how loose powder sometimes looks chalky or cakey & I hate how it tends to sit in fine lines & makes the face look dull!
I brought it a while back, but never tried it– until last week!!
Basically, it’s a natural finish loose powder, which is an ultra-soft loose powder that provides sheer, light coverage with a soft matte finish, setting & perfecting makeup as it evens the skin tone.
It even has photo – reflective pigments to help disguise imperfections without emphasizing lines.
It’s available in 4 shades: 47 Feerie (limited edition), 20 Clair, 30 Naturel, 40 Dore.
It goes very well with Chanel’s foundations!!
I use the shade 40
& swept it a MAC 187 brush- the effect was flawless!! It finished off my makeup so beautifully- without looking chalky/cakey. What I loved about it is how it does NOT make my complexion dull. You can also apply it with a powder puff.
I definitely recommend this powder to every woman out there. I always use MAC’s mineralize skinfnish powder after my foundation, but this (CHANEL) is my other alternative!
The CHANEL powder is there without even showing that it is actually there- VERY NATURAL!!
Another great thing about it is that if you don’t like to apply foundation, then you can apply it on your bare skin to give you a lovely polished look.

0 THE ESSENTIAL EXTRAS you need to perfect ur makeup
Makeup brushes are not the only tools to use to perfect your makeup. They are the priority, but there are many other extra “tools” you need to make your makeup flawless!
These little extras are very very simple! Here’s a list & what they should be used for. You should have these things on your makeup vanity- they are important! Makeup remover wipes are not part of this list since they are a priority & not considered as an extra!
1. cotton pads/wool pads
Simple cotton pads, from any supermarket/pharmacy. Use them to wipe of eye makeup or full makeup with a liquid makeup remover. It’s also great to clean some brushes quickly with- just apply some makeup remover on a pad, then go on with your brush back and forth until it becomes clean!
2. cotton buds/cotton ear buds
i would consider this the most important extra tool ever! You won’t believe how handy these little things are! I would cut the buds into half to not waste the other half.
I would use it for makeup mistakes (eyes, lips, concealer, eyeliner, brows) you name it! It’s really helpful!
3. clean brush applicator
I usually take those from MAC :p i ask the sales lady if i can have some since I’m buying a lot- i love these!! I use them to brush my brows, separate my lashes (before & after mascara), picking up any hairs on the face instead of smudging it with your hands. If you want, you can use any finished up mascara wand & wash it well then use it just like I do!
4. Eye drops “Refresh Plus”
I got this from a pharmacy – basically u cut off the little top part & use it like eye drops. Why is this important? When applying makeup, you tend to smudge eyeshadow off/ get eyeliner in your eye by mistake/ eyeshadow powder gets in your eye ETC.. you would need these drops to just refresh your eye just in case- to help soothe your eye & remove irritation!
5. Beauty Blender
I absolutely love the beauty blender!!
These are washable ofcorse- don’t throw them away. With a little shampoo, wash them them and lthey are good as new!
What to use them for? THIS IS MY NUMBER ONE TECHNIQUE TO FLAWLESS FOUNDATION!!!!
After applying liquid foundation with a brush, i would take this blender & dab it all over (to remove any excess oils, even out any gaps or missing spots). It also smooths out the foundation removing any fine lines a brush makes! You can also use it with concealer and corrector- to blend them!
Remember- it only works with water- so make sure u wet it under water and use it when it is expanded!
6. Scissors & tweezers
No girl can ever live without those two tools. You need those to tweeze any un-necessary hairs & cut any long brow hairs. Always keep those next to you! They are great help when it comes to false lashes.
You can shorten your false lashes by cutting them and help fix them on your eye by tweezers!
7. the powder puff
I know many girls don’t buy this- but they are important! TRUST ME! Get yours from MAC, sephora, etc they sell them in all cosmetics stores. What do we use this for? To even out & set your makeup- mainly through the use of LOOSE POWDER. I would apply my foundation then work on my eyes.. some pigments do fall on my foundation- so i would use this sponge to dab on some loose powder under my eye area to avoid any eye pigment from ruining/smudging my foundation. I also use this to apply translucent powder on my whole face on top of everything to help the makeup set & last.

OK.. but why is it green??
Just put in mind that imperfections & acne LOVE Green concealers. Briefly, the reason why the concealer for such imperfections (especially redness) should be green is because the famous color wheel (color theory)- Opposite the color red on the color wheel is green. So, green will help balance/neutralize redness in the skin.
TIP: if you have mild redness, you can use a normal concealer. For major redness or scary nasty acne- go ahead and use the green concealer.
Some concealers can’t hide those nasty pimples or imperfections- so this is were you should use the camouflage creme. Apply it using a concealer brush. After doing so, go ahead and apply your foundation Etc.
1 MAC’s ‘TAN’ PIGMENT: My review
A special eye pigment called “tan”- from MAC, is a new favorite of mine. It’s one of those products that are constantly out of stock… lucky me- I found one!
You would always assume that this little bottle is just messy & why would you apply powder shimmer on your eyelids if you have eye shadow? Right?
Well, pigments are totally different from eyeshadow!! They are powdered and they should be pressed on the skin unlike eyeshadow where you can brush/swipe etc. What I love about this little jar is that it lasts forever- believe me.. It won’t finish! Effects from pigments are very different from the effect of an eyeshadow. Pigments are ofcourse more pigmented- stays put more & tend to have a more shimmery/shiny glow with them (most of them).
The color: this color is gorgeous! It’s a muted pinky brownish bronze- not just bronze! It’s a warm color, with red undertones. It has some shimmers, more metallic looking (which is so in now –trend)!! It can also be described as a golden bronze color.
Where to use it: I would use it with my MAC 239 brush, and softly apply some, tap the brush (to remove any excess powder) then press (I MEAN PRESS NOT BRUSH) on your lids. Press it up to the crease, then apply any dark brown color in the crease to blend. You can also use it on the lid on its own. The color is just amazing- metallic bronze. You can also use a hint of it for the cheekbones for a shine/glow, or in tear duct.
You will love this product especially if you are olive skinned!! Dark/tanned skin goes beautifully with bronzed eyeshadow- and believe me this is quick to apply- simple & natural. Also, if you have hazel or green eyes, it will definitely make your eyes stand out!

I have received a sample from Bobbi Brown when I was in Germany- so I tried it- & I’m Loving it. I constantly get samples from Chanel & Estee Lauder (eye creams) but I don’t know why, Bobbi Brown was the winner!
It’s called “Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream”
This is a good, solid hydrating eye cream. It consists of those ingredients: Avocado oil, Jojoba Seed, With Hazel, Aloe Vera & Squalane. This eye cream is a fantastic base for makeup (under eyes). I felt that it’s very lightweight & tends to soak in as soon as you apply it. Your skin will feel soft & smooth.
How to use:
Apply with your fingertips- all over under eyes & sides of eye (skin around eyes). Pat gently with your fingers & make sure it is fully absorbed!
What I also love about it- Bobbi Brown doesn’t market her products “This will make you look 10 years younger” or “ this will give you a quick lift in seconds!” etc… She doesn’t do that. Bobbi presents a product & says what it claims to do- & impressively it fully does what it’s supposed to do!
If you feel your eyes are extra dry, get the “extra repair” eye cream from Bobbi Brown. This will target dark circles, puffiness, fine lines & wrinkles. This one might be slightly heavier than the hydrating one. The packaging looks the same- same jar
8 MAC’s Pure Orange Studio Finish Skin Corrector
I have been to MAC a lot and was always curious when I saw the orange concealer. It’s soooo orange. What the hell do they use that for?
Then one of my good friends told me a makeup artist used that on her face! I was like- WHAT? Orange? Hahahaha
So then I got it, & tested it out. I’m Impressed. WOW
Let me explain to you first why it’s being used then I’ll tell you how to use it!
This orange skin corrector is slightly creamy (just like any beige concealer) as you can see in the photo below.
The orange is a bold orange- see my swatch below
Ok so why is it orange? The orange colour neutralizes any bluish/greenish/blackish colors on your skin & balance it. It will give you a fresh look as if you just had a facial/peel.
It covers dark circles extremely well. This product is a always a top seller in India- where they rely on it to remove pigmentation from their skin & also to sculpt it.
Why not just use normal beige concealer?
A beige concealer might appear greenish/blackish if placed on dark spots. By neutralizing the dark spots with the orange, the beige concealer will look natural on top!
How to use:
Apply it after moisturizing your face. Before foundation & concealer. I apply it with my finger.
DO NOT SWIPE IT OR SMUDGE IT… always DAB, DAB, & DAB with your finger.
Apply: under eyes, around forehead (hairline), on cheekbones, jaw line. Most important to cover up under your eyes. It will look weird- bright orange. Dab it with your finger.
After that, get a MAC130 brush (short duo fibre brush)
& blend it all in under it disappears.
You can then dab it all over with a sponge.
Proper blending does take some time- make sure no orange remains!
Foundation (on face) & concealer on (eye area)- will do the trick & cover up the warm color.
5 Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation- Satin Smoothing Fluid
This is the foundation I have been talking about yesterday! This foundation from Chanel is so special to me. It is simply amazing.
I have been recommending makeup up forever HD foundation for some time, & I still do- I love it- but this Chanel one is different. It basically gives you an all over glow. Other foundations give a slightly matte effect, & you have to add shimmer etc to make your face all glowy.
So it’s called Chanel “Vitalumiere” Foundation- Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup! There’s another similar one called “vitalumiere aqua”.
The Vitalumiere has a beautiful texture. It’s very soft, delicate & light. It makes your complexion flawless with an natural glow. Really- I’m not joking- a real glow (NOT OILY GLOW). It makes your skin appear fresh & energized. You will achieve the “nude” beauty look with the glow it gives- as if your face is glowing from within!
The formula includes SPF 15, & the fragrance it gives off smells like freshness! Full coverage & the result is a radiant glow! Even after applying some powder or skinfinish on top, the glow is still there! This foundation is pricy though!
HOW TO USE:
Since this foundation is lighter than the rest- I deeply recommend using a stippling brush. You can always use it with the MAC190 foundation brush, but I prefer the MAC 130 brush- a small duo fibers brush for a flawless & airbrushed look. Apply all over with the 130 brush, then take a sponge & dab all over to remove excess oils!
I personally use the shade 45 (rose). A shade slightly lighter would be 32 (epice)

4 The Perfect Powdered Foundation? POWDER POWDER POWDER
Many girls are asking me: What is the best powdered foundation? Many girls want to know. When I say powdered foundation- I don’t mean loose powder. I mean-the compact powder (pressed powder) in which u apply it with a sponge (some ppl apply it by brush).
If you have oily skin- powder is the way to go (although liquid foundations with mattifiers –oil free- are available). Powder tends to absorb the oil, but the trick is- to find one that doesn’t give you the “CAKEY” effect!!

0 FACE TONER? Do you really need it? Try out Bobbi Brown’s amazing face toner
Many of you skip this part, after you wash your face you apply face cream straight away. Toner needs to go in after face wash & before cream application.
A toner actually cleanses the skin & shrinks the pores. The toner removes any excess oils on your face even after washing it with soap + makeup remover wipes. It will remove any dirt left behind. Toner prepares your skin-makes it fresh & glowy!
I came across this amazing toner from Bobbi Brown- currently out of stock- more coming end of month.
It’s called “ Hyrdrating Face Tonic”- It’s enriched with mineral water & cucumber extract.
What this tonic does is: moisturize your face, soothes it, cleanses & keeps it balanced + soft!
Apply it right after washing it- or after makeup remover wipes- take a cotton pad & apply on face and it will restore your skin.
Other thn cucumber, it has Chamomile, Licorice, Aloe & lavnender.
I loved the amazing feeling I got from it. It felt unbelievably REFRESHING!! What I loved the most about it was the cucumber smell. It smelled like I was in a spa or smells like summer- u know that scent- a soooooothing scent. Most toners tend to have a stingy smell (due to the alcohol), but this- smells so good!
Whether you have dry or oily skin or even combination- it suits you. It will hydrate your face even before moisturizing it. It might feel sticky at the start, but will dry up within 10 seconds.
There are a million toners around- million brands- but becareful when choosing one. Try to choose ones that don’t smell like alcohol. Try to also choose ones that are hydrating- as many dry up the face!!
2 Springhseen Blush from MAC – beautiful sheen glow
This blush from MAC is different from the rest. I don’t consider it a “blush”! I feel that it doesn’t only add a hint of color, but highlights the skin to give a beautiful light glow.
It’s called “Springsheen” -It basically gives you a beautiful peachy glow
The picture above is shown when photographed with light.
The photo below shows how the blush looks like with NO light.
Let me describe the color for you. It’s a peach color with a hint of pink & golden shimmers. It will give you a rich, goldish peach color on our cheeks. What’s good about it is the shimmer is not TOO much.
Whichever blush you choose, you can apply, then you can apply springsheen as a highlighter on the top part of your cheeks. It works beautifully if applied to compliment any peachy/pinky/light bronze blush. Can be also used alone!
Amazingly, it matches all skin tones.
